Dreambooks were frustrated with the limitations of their existing website and came to The Marvellous Media Company for help.

"We took a look under the bonnet" recalls The Marvellous Media Company's Operations Director, Ben Neale "and it was nasty. The company who had created the original Dreambooks website had used an off–the–shelf solution. Typically, it had thousands of lines of redundant code. Complete bloatware!
"The first thing we did was review the website as a whole. The pages had been created using tables which is a big no–no nowadays, and the back–end was so convoluted making even the simplest change was like wading through treacle. The admin section didn't do everything Dreambooks needed so, as the website seemed to have no redeeming features other than its look, we took the decision to scrap it and start from scratch. Dreambooks supported that conclusion and so we set about constructing the new website.
"The unusual aspect of this project" continues Ben "is that the end user would have been aware of no difference, as apart from improved performance the new site looked and behaved exactly like the old one."
"We added an interactive Flash demo of the finished product, including the person's name. It's the internet equivalent of putting the product in the customer's hand, and is a very powerful sales tool."
