Cleansing Clinic

After paying through the nose for unnecessary search engine optimisation maintenance that added no value to their website, the Cleansing Clinic found a safe haven with The Marvellous Media Company.
The Cleansing Clinic, based at Addington Palace in Surrey, offers customers the opportunity to relax, cleanse and detox in beautiful surroundings.
But the designers of their website had them locked into an exorbitant search engine optimisation contract.
"I was furious" recalls The Marvellous Media Company's Commercial Director, Bruce Hazelton. "I think there was actually steam coming out of my ears. The company – which shall remain nameless – was charging The Cleansing Clinic a ludicrous fee per month for, as far as we could see, nothing."
"They were using techno–babble to convince their customer that they were engaging in legitimate and essential SEO work to keep them at the top of Google's search engine results pages. But it was utter rubbish. I was so incensed I actually rang this company myself to see how they justified their costs and got the same garbage they fed their client."
"We realised what sort of operation they were, so we used Nominet's domain name dispute resolution service to transfer the domain to us – with The Cleansing Clinic's consent. We recreated The Cleansing Clinic's website, omitting the unpurchased copyrighted images the previous designer had used and applied some simple search engine optimisation techniques to maintain their ranking."
"Over a year later The Cleansing Clinic have maintained their top rankings without having to pay us any maintenance."
"Companies that use techno–babble to frighten their clients into parting with unnecessary money make me livid" concludes Bruce. "This industry is confusing enough for business owners who just want the best for their website. Cowboys like this give us all a bad name and they don't deserve to stay in business."
