Microsoft extends adCenter Desktop invite to UK
Internet Marketing
02 April 2009
UK marketers can now download Microsoft's adCenter Desktop Tool, it has been announced.
The tool is available to those with fewer than 100,000 keywords in their adCenter internet marketing accounts.
Users of the tool can download their adCenter campaigns and make changes to them offline before uploading them to the internet again.
It was launched by Microsoft in the US and Canada earlier this year and comes with a number of improvements, including integrated charts, alerts and favourites.
Microsoft UK search media strategist Adam Goodman said on the adCenter Blog for Advertisers that marketers should make sure their language is set to UK English and that they are targeting the UK with their ads when setting up the tool after downloading it.
He stated: "Knowing your market and language setting is a great start to ensure you're delivering on the correct distribution channel."
Businesses would do well to place pay-per-click ads on a variety of search engines rather than sticking to Google because consumers now use different engines for different purposes, according to Shar VanBoskirk of Forrester Research.
