Conversion Optimizer 'boosts PPC-generated sales'

Google has conducted research indicating that using its Conversion Optimizer tool in internet marketing campaigns can significantly boost sales.

According to a post by Google's Amanda Kelly on the Inside AdWords blog, new analysis from the search engine shows that pay-per-click campaigns adopting Conversion Optimizer see a 21 per cent increase in conversions on average.

Furthermore, advertisers' costs per action decline by an average of 14 per cent, Ms Kelly noted.

The research was based on the comparison of campaigns using Conversion Optimizer with a control set of campaigns.

Google has also moved to outline the benefits of using its Website Optimizer tool in web design projects.

In a post on the Official Google Blog, Sandra Cheng of Website Optimizer said that the application can be useful for those looking to test both big and small changes to their websites by looking at how they affect users' abilities to complete certain tasks on the site in question.ADNFCR-1093-ID-19078565-ADNFCR
