The most common concern among businesses when it comes to their sites is web performance, a new survey has suggested.
Web performance worries ranked above offering speedy content and application access and ensuring application security is as high as possible, according to the poll conducted by Keynote Systems at the AJAX World Conference.
In addition, the study revealed that half of firms intend to deploy or have already implemented cloud computing or software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications.
The same proportion also said that they have no web testing and monitoring technology in place to help them check on the performance of their websites and applications.
Vik Chaudhary of Keynote Systems commented: "The results of our AJAX World survey reflect the market need for an internet test and measurement solution to monitor complex web applications delivered via SaaS and on cloud platforms."
Another study by Keynote Systems published earlier this month suggested that Yahoo! and Fox News do not offer the best mobile website experience possible to users accessing their pages via an iPhone.
