A new business social networking site (SNS) will credit its users each time they answer questions from fellow members.

Business news provider, Forbes.com, has said AnswerNetwork will assess members' knowledge and in return for their contribution, they will receive credits from its currency unit.

"The network allows for the sharing of deep, vertical knowledge in a safe, trusted environment," said Jim Spanfeller, president and chief executive officer.

He claimed it "provides senior business decision-makers with access to the knowledge base of potentially millions of business professionals who possess a collective expertise in a broad range of categories".

Popular social networking site, Facebook, has seen its user numbers rise, although it is yet to unseat MySpace, which remains the most popular, according to analyst Hitwise.

It revealed the site received 74 per cent of US social networking visits for April 2008, while Facebook attracted only 15 per cent.
