BMW Sauber's new test driver, Marko Asmer, has updated his site with social media technology.
The Estonian born racer has helped create one of only a few official Formula 1 websites to embrace the tools.
Designed to use rich internet applications (RIAs) to help improve user experience, the page was made to allow fans stay in touch with his progress.
"Exciting new updates include facilities for a fan forum, blog and videos which can be managed by Marko and his management team," said Siim Vips, chief executive officer of Modera.
Asmer joined BMW last week and he joins an international driving quartet, including German Nick Heidfeld, Pole Robert Kubica and Austrian Christian Klien.
Widgets and other social networking applications have migrated from larger sites such as Facebook and Bebo.
They help web users to control small accessible screens of information, embedded within their own pages.
